Andreas Tünnermann is Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF), as well as a professor in physics and director of the Institute of Applied Physics at Friedrich Schiller University. The Institute of Applied Physics carries out fundamental and applied research in the fields of micro-, nano- and quantum optics, as well as fiber- and waveguide engineering. It develops novel optical materials, elements and concepts for information and communication technology, process technology, life science and medicine, environment and energy, as well as material processing and optical measurement techniques. Professor Tünnermann also heads up InQuoSens – the Thuringian Innovation Center for Quantum Optics and Sensing.
Efrat Shabtai is a senior product manager at NVIDIA, responsible for CUDA-Q and NVIDIA Quantum Cloud. Prior to NVIDIA, Efrat worked as a principal engineering manager at Microsoft, building innovative products in Azure Quantum, Microsoft Research, and Azure Machine Learning. Efrat holds a BSc in computer science from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Margaret is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of operations, strategy, and marketing experience in the enterprise software and hardware industry. She spent 20 years at Microsoft leading business strategy, product planning, and product marketing in the global Windows, Security, and Cloud & Enterprise business groups.
Dr Mitte is the Vice President for Research and Development at the Ernst Abbe University of Jena, Professor of Psychology, and also runs the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence (ZAKI). In her role as Vice President for Research and Development, she spearheads responsibilities related to research, development, and technology transfer at EAH Jena.
